Individual therapy

People start a therapeutic journey for a variety of reasons. Some want to develop more self-awareness and achieve more fulfilment in their lives, while others might struggle with self-esteem difficulties. Others may have experienced trauma or a life event that they battle to integrate. Psychiatric diagnoses such as depression and anxiety cause difficulty in many cases. Whatever the reason, commitment to therapy leads to change. Each therapeutic process is unique. In my practice, I aim to work collaboratively with my clients to promote awareness and help identify patterns that inhibit them from living authentically.

Couples therapy

At times, difficulties arise in our most intimate relationships. Communication issues or intimacy problems can put strain on individuals and hinder people from experiencing fulfilling, loving relationships. Couples therapy focuses on exploring and understanding harmful patterns and establishing a new approach to communication and interactions in relationships. In couples therapy, the focus is on the unit, and we consider both individuals' views and perspectives.

Family therapy

In family therapy, I work with the family as a unit. The goal is to address patterns of communication and behaviour that is hindering the family from functioning optimally. The process aims to help families find new ways to connect; the end goal is to promote the whole family's mental health.

Children and adolescent therapy

In my practice, I adjust the therapeutic approach to work with children and adolescents and connect with them on their age and maturity level. I employ various therapeutic modalities such as play, gestalt and narrative therapy. Playing and creative activities assist in the expression of emotion. I also work collaboratively with parents to better understand and relate to their children. Ultimately, it allows parents to better understand their children's emotional world and enable them to support them better.

Online therapy

When working with adolescents, couples or adults online, I use all the same approaches I would usually use in face-to-face therapy, the only difference being that therapy is done in the comfort and protection of your own space. Online therapy is an individual preference, and if working online suits you for practical reasons then I invite you to set up an online consultation.
